What we collect, and why

Last updated: October 19, 2026

syracuse.io is run by CODES (the Coalition of Digital Engagement in Syracuse), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This policy covers syracuse.io and the services we use to run it.

What we collect

There are no accounts on this site, and nothing you do here is tied to your name.

Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load Google Analytics or Google Ads at all. You can also block them with your browser’s settings or an extension.

How we use it

To send the monthly email you asked for, to understand how people find and use the site, to report on our Google Ads grant, and to keep the site online. Nothing else.

What we don’t do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers listed below, and only so they can do the job we hired them for.

Other sites

RSVP links take you to our event platform (today, Meetup), and the Slack invite takes you to Slack. Their privacy policies apply once you leave syracuse.io.

Your choices

Every monthly email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at hi@syracuse.io at any time to ask what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

Children

syracuse.io is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. The full history is in our public repository.
